I first walked through the doors of Knoxville Center for Reproductive Health to interview for a part time surgery tech position in 2007. Little did I know that this interview and job offer would pave the way to accepting the role as Administrative Director of KCRH in 2021. I called KCRH my work home for 5 years and served in many different roles. After leaving, I was able to advance my career in both patient care settings and administration. The call to come back and lead KCRH was a life changing moment.
Walking through the clinic doors as a Director has been a humbling and rewarding experience for me. I never realized how privileged I was to have lived my whole life with reproductive health freedom. I now know how fragile this freedom and access is for so many women. The restrictions and burdens placed on women seeking abortion services is not something that many people think about until it becomes a reality. To imagine our country becoming a place where a woman no longer has the right or freedom to choose what is right for her body, her family, or her life is simply not an option.
I have a simple goal. It is to make sure our doors remain open to all that need our services and to provide a safe environment for all of our patients. I am indescribably thankful to work side by side with staff that are committed, dedicated, talented, and compassionate. It is my vision to maintain all of the core values and beliefs that have allowed KCRH to be the clinic that women choose for routine gynecological care and abortion services since 1975.
