Emergency Contraceptive Pills
Emergency contraception (also known as the “Morning After Pill“) is provided at the Center, and is available to women who have had unprotected sex within the last 120 hours (5 days).
This medication is most effective when taken within 72 hours (3 days), reducing the risk of pregnancy by up to 89%.
Please call the office to arrange an appointment, and we will make every effort to accommodate you quickly.
Emergency contraception has become available at some local pharmacies without a prescription; you have to ask the pharmacist for the medication as they keep it behind the counter. So if you are unable to visit us during our office hours, emergency contraceptive pills are available to you.
Free pregnancy testing is available every weekday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on a walk-in basis.
The Center’s free urine test detects pregnancy in women who have missed a menstrual period by at least one day.
Blood pregnancy tests are also available for patients who have missed a period by at least one day for a minimal charge.
Pregnancy test results are available on the day of the test, and appropriate resource information is available upon request.
